About us
BRESS represents more than 18.000 students who are enrolled at the college NHTV Breda university of applied sciences or Avans University. Both colleges are partly responsible for the establishment and the financial support of BRESS.
The goal that BRESS has set itself is to promote the participation in sports amongst students and staff members within the HBO-community in Breda. In the 18 years during which BRESS has existed, it has grown into a professional organisation with over 2400 holders of sports passes.
BRESS Sportcenter
BRESS organizes its activities from BRESS Sportcenter. This sports center is part of the student sports but is also used by Breda's citizens. You can do more then just sport in BRESS Sportcenter. There is a bar where a drink can be drunk and is an ideal place to meet other students. Here you will find the website of BRESS Sportcenter.
Organisation
BRESS is managed by a distance board consisting of one representative per college, among others.
The sports programme, events and BRESS sportcenter are provided by professionals who are affiliated to BRESS and run by a general co-ordinator. Approx 15 sports instructors and 15 reception- and bar employees work for BRESS throughout the academic year.
In addition, BRESS can count on the efforts of volunteers, trainees and students.
