Rules and regulation
Sports pass inspection
The sports pass is strictly personal. You need to bring your pass always when you participate in a sport. You will not be allowed to participate in the program if you cannot present your sports pass at the request of the instructor or BRESS-staff member.
Enrolment in courses/competition
You are obligated in order to participate in a course or competition to enrol for the course concerned one week in advance through this site or at the BRESS-office. Be sure to bring your sports pass with you and do note: a maximum number of participants apply to most courses! Enrolment for a course implies that you will be present; should you be unable to attend, and then report this to BRESS.
Theft/loss sports pass
Your sports pass been stolen and you would like to participate anyway? You can apply for a new sports pass one time only on payment of €5,- administrative costs. Bring your report, a passport-format photograph, your ID and your student card.
You can collect your sports pass at the BRESS-office after two working days. Without a sports pass you can’t participate in to the sports program.
Refund
Requests for a refund on BRESS sports passes will not be considered, unless there are medical grounds for the request and the student concerned can present a valid medical certificate. Requests for refunds must be submitted in writing.
Shoes and use of towel required
Sports shoes that have been worn outdoors are not allowed inside the sports accommodations in connection with hygiene.
Certain lessons and fitness activities require the use of a towel. Be sure to bring a towel along!
(Lending/renting) materials
BRESS provides most of the materials that are needed during the training sessions/courses. A deposit of 35 Euro is charged for lending out materials. It is to be paid in cash. In addition, rent may be charged, depending upon the materials concerned. A tennis racket and squash racket cost €0.50 per day. Be sure to timely make your reservation if you wish to borrow or rent materials. BRESS only lends out materials to holders of a sports pass.
Liability
BRESS cannot be held liable for the consequences of accidents while practicing a sport, or for the loss of or damage to personal items. The sports pass holder him/herself bears any risk of bodily harm or damages as a result of participating in a sports programme.
BRESS can also not be held liable for stolen items. It is therefore advisable to leave your valuables at home or to use the free BRESS-lockers. Personal sports items are not allowed in the fitness accommodation.
