BRESS Sportcenter, Sports bar

Darts is a sport played with three small arrows (darts) and a dart board. It is an age-old game; it is claimed that the sport has started in times that soldiers were bored in between wars. To keep themselves busy, they started to throw short arrows at the bottom of a cask or at the bottom of trunks of trees.

Free play
Two dart boards are located in the sports bar of BRESS Sportcenter are available for free play during opening hours.

Dart rankings
During the academic year, 8 ranking tournaments are organized; 7 regular ranking tournaments and 1 final ranking tournament. To participate in the final tournament, you must have at least participated in 4 regular ranking tournaments. However, you can join our dart rankings competition at any time, also if you are only interested in participating in 1 tournament.

Each ranking tournament (max. 20 participants) starts with a draw and groups of 4 or 5 people are created. A timetable shows who has to play when and who is responsible for keeping track of the scores during the match. Players are responsible for filling in the results. Eventually, the winner is determined by the knockout principle. The results of each tournament are combined into one overall ranking and can be viewed by the participants.

Costs: € 5,- per ranking tournament (pay on the night itself).
