What is padel?
Padel is a mixture of tennis and squash. It is played with a padel racket and a padel ball in a “cage” where the half-courts are separated by a net. The ball is hit over the net into the opponent’s court without first touching one of the walls. The objective is to prevent the opponent (s) from returning the ball. However, the ball remains in play if it first hits the ground and then one of the walls. This ensures longer rallies, a feeling of success and a more dynamic and fun experience. In padel it is usually not the strongest who wins, but the smartest. The idea is to combine your strength with tactics in order to score. The sport is practiced both recreationally and competitively. Padel can be played both indoor and outdoor, but what could be better than exercising in the sun and ending with a beer!
