Yoga helps to increase power, flexibility, leads to better emotional balance and it makes stiffness and tensions disappear. The lessons given by Amy consist of a combination of power- and relaxing yoga.
You start with some minutes of Tai Chi, during which you focus on mindfulness and observing your body, heart and spirit without any judgement. This is followed by simple, gentle exercises in order to warm-up and become more loose.
The core of the lesson consists of performing powerful positions such as sun salutation, standing position, arm balance positions, twists and inversions like shoulder stand, headstand and handstand all in balance with your respiration. A well controlled respiration keeps you focused and relaxed. The energy that is released heals you physically and spiritually.
At the end of the lesson you will do relaxation exercises and focus on different parts of your body. Are you able to have thoughts, but not act upon them? Just relax!
Yoga mats will be available at the lesson, but you can always bring your own.
